Summer Robotics Camp


Give your child a summer filled with creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. CANDO's Summer Robotics Camp introduces students ages 9 to 12 to the exciting world of robotics, engineering, coding, and problem-solving through engaging activities and team-based projects.

Participants will learn how robots work, build and program robotic systems, explore engineering concepts, and develop critical thinking skills in a fun and supportive environment. No prior robotics experience is required.


This two-week program is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage interest in STEM careers while helping students develop teamwork and communication skills.

Year-Round Robotics Team


CANDO's Year-round Robotics Team is designed for students ages 9 to 12 who are ready to take their robotics skills to the next level. Participants work together to design, build, and program robots while developing engineering, coding, problem solving, and teamwork skills.


The team prepares students for local and regional robotics competitions through hands on learning, collaboration, and real world STEM challenges.



Requirements:


• Ages 9 to 12
• Completion of Intro to Robotics or equivalent experience
• Approximately 3 hours per week

Space is limited.

Learn to Play the Steel Pan

Discover the joy of playing the steel pan with our innovative onsite program! Combining traditional steel pan techniques with modern technology, you'll use an iPad to guide you through each step. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this program offers a unique and engaging way to learn.

About the Steel Pan: The steel pan, also known as the steel drum, is a musical instrument originating from the Caribbean. It is known for its distinctive, melodic sound and is a central part of Caribbean music and culture.


Highlights:

  • Onsite Instruction: Learn directly from experienced steel pan musicians.
  • Interactive Lessons: Follow along with video tutorials and interactive exercises on your iPad.
  • Hands-On Practice: Get immediate feedback and support from instructors.
  • Community Support: Join a community of fellow learners for support and motivation.
